How much does a Meta Ads agency cost? Pricing models explained
Meta Ads agencies typically charge a fixed monthly retainer, a percentage of ad spend, a performance model (base fee plus a share of revenue) or a mix. Your ad budget is usually paid directly to Meta on top of the agency fee. Prices depend on scope, number of channels and whether creative production is included, so always compare what's actually delivered.
The 4 most common pricing models
Fixed monthly retainer
Predictable for both sides. The downside is that the agency isn't rewarded for results.
Percentage of ad spend
The fee grows with the budget. Simple, but it can reward spending more rather than spending better.
Performance model
A fixed base fee plus a percentage of revenue, so the agency only earns more when you do.
Project or setup fee
A one-off payment for setup, an audit or creative production.
How Makerz prices its work
At Makerz you can choose between two models:
- Fixed fee from DKK 25,000/month: predictable and simple.
- Performance model: DKK 10,000/month + 10% of revenue. We share the risk and earn more when you grow.
Both models come with a 3-month commitment. We find the right fit together in the first meeting.
What's included?
Ask about strategy, campaign management, creative testing, reporting, tracking, and whether creatives are produced by the agency or supplied by you.
Contract length
Many agencies require a minimum term. Makerz has a 3-month commitment, because Meta's algorithm and creative testing need time to work.
Ad budget on top of the fee
The budget has to be large enough for the algorithm to learn and for creatives to be tested continuously.
How to judge the price
Don't compare fees alone. Compare the expected impact on MER, nCAC and contribution margin. See our Meta Ads service and cases.
Isn't it cheaper to do it myself?
In the short term, yes, but time, learning and testing capacity cost money too. See our article on agency vs in-house.
Why a minimum term?
Testing and optimisation usually take a few months to produce reliable results.
What does a performance model mean?
Part of the fee depends on results, such as revenue.
What does Makerz cost?
Either a fixed fee from DKK 25,000/month or DKK 10,000/month + 10% of revenue. Both with a 3-month commitment.
Is the ad budget included in the fee?
No. The ad budget is usually paid directly to Meta on top of the agency fee.
